1 1/2 hours away, that's pretty close. I like going to The Streets at South Point on the rare occasion I go shopping.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Geography is very good, acpartsman
Now I know where BladeD is - at no charge biggrin
Good Evening Base Campers!
Maine trek
– it never ends. Urden and yodap@BC must find perspectives in that trek that eluded the rest of us laughing
I made a post in the EVGA-boys’ forum to yodap. Again.

Minnesota half-trek
BladeD joined. Thank you. smile - your badge is being minted.
A couple more, and we’ll be enough for a full trekking crew.
Address: Minnesota Crunchers

Branding and general self centered chit-chat
Today I tied all the loose ends of my health with my wonderful doctor, and last week's follow-up treatment of my basal cell cancer at my nostril was repeated today.
It hurt quite a bit.
Now I think I can imagine how a calf feels when he/she has been branded. This way. Just more.

These were the last appointments in a calendar which has been very crowded with appointments that I had not really chosen myself. I’m not out of them, but I feel there’s room for living my own life again, and I look forward to regain the energy level which passes for normal with me so I can assemble the pieces of my life’s puzzle into a picture I can understand.

acpartsman, your allegies would not like Denmark. We had rain, and it washed the pollen out of the air. You can see the result here. Pollen floating on the puddle. We think these quantities come from Swedish forests.

I dropped my phone (the new one. Saphir12-Nathalie) into the water a week ago. I’ll not say how. I fished it up immediately and I thought it was dead or dying. What it displayed on the screen was seriously distorted and wobbled and trembled.
But it came to! smile
I think it’s thanks to crunching. biggrin
Its warm. 93F/34C. The little water that might have entered may have evaporated in a hurry. My memory card was damaged. It can store pictures I take, but cannot be used for backup any more, so I had to get a new one which I found the enegy to buy today. Now, I need to change the the location of certain apps back to the phone storage, move them back on the new one and download my ’Here’ map files for off line navigation again and what have you.

Oh, it feels good to be oneself.
The weather is ugly. I got a new thermometer with an outside sensor and a sneaky little button that lets me switch between Celcius and Fahrenheit. It’s just 47F/8C. It’s very windy, gray and showery, so it’s hot cocoa for me in a moment.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

- and we welcome TLD to what is now a full fledged trek with the mermaid picture I think fits TLD's image of mermaids.
Only now do I notice we have a man swimming out on deep water d oh poor guy, tsk, tsk, tsk ....
Thank you very much for coming all this way to support Bearcat TLD.
Tomorrow we'll cross our fingers for a smooth procedure for Bearcat.
EDIT: Perhaps it would be practical with an address in case more Base Campers feels like joining:
Address: Minnesota Crunchers

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Joined you at Minnesota, missed the memo on this trek LM.
LM -pollen - I'd just have to be sure to not visit in the spring. Late summer would probably be more to my liking anyway.

It would be a very good time – I’ll take you visit the real thing in Copenhagen Harbor and a whole lot more
Good Morning Base Campers!
Thank you very much for joining this impromptu trek, acpartsman.
- impromptu sounds so much better than messy
Sorry that it came somewhat sideways and just popped up like mushrooms in the fall.
There was no real memo. Just my own more or less private promise to Bearcat.
Then yodap mentioned a moose badge, so I made a moose badge.
When one sits with a moose badge, one would like to share it,
so I thought a moose badge could warrant at least a half trek
- and this is now definitely a real trek with the participation so far from:
BladeD
yodap@BC
TLD
acpartsman
little mermaid

We have room for more Base Campers.
There is a lot of solid ground surrounding the lakes in Minnesota.
Very good for camping. Good camping sites.

It will soon be time to send Bearcat your best thoughts for a lucky outcome of his surgery,
a speedy and successful recovery,
and above all a future with far less pain on a daily basis.

This is a Tycho Brahe Day for me.
One of those days where you better pull your duvet over your head and keep from touching anything and
refrain from taking initiatives of any kind.
Tomorrow will be better.
You take care Base Campers out there trekking in Minnesota hugs
