Re: The Formula One Thread

Renault Mustn't do it again, Any comparable offence will result in them being Kicked out of the sport with in the next two years
Flavio and Pat Symonds barred from doing any thing to do with the sport one for Life The other for 5 years ,not even to cross the threshold of a FIA event Renault have to pay costs of the investigation and help out with the sports safety issues what ever that means ?

That'll teach em Eh ?

Okay lets get back to the race track......

Re: The Formula One Thread

A slap on the wrist really 'cause they didn't want to frighten Renault away. When you think what they did to McLaren!

Re: The Formula One Thread

The rhetoric coming from the governing body.

"breaches of the rules of "unparalleled severity""in last year's Singapore Grand Prix."
does not match the punishment

There are more questions with Flavios result
Briatore's management career is at an end as no driver will be granted a Superlicence – the document that allows them to compete – should they continue to associate themselves with him.
Briatore currently has Alonso, Mark Webber, Heikki Kovalainen and Grosjean, as well as Piquet Jr, under his wing, whilst he jointly runs GP2.

So we are not quite out of the mire yet

Re: The Formula One Thread

Briatore's roll at QPR is also unsure at the moment.

The FIA can ban him from being a manager of any football club due to the F1 ban.

Lakshmi Mittal is reported in the press as going to try to buy Flavio out from QPR to avoid embarrassment for the club .I Doubt that the power of the FIA can put strictures into the realm of FIFA tho ....

Anyway its a bit of a case of "reap what you sow" lets enjoy the rest of the seasons racing hopefully with no more Politics
