 hehe, we made the top 50 all-round dailies. cargod, no wories mate! i only planted the pole, you did the jump that set roger in motion. the success as a whole has been so dramtic, there is no gratituted i can pay, but to be the best for the team, everyday! BOINC seems to crunch faster so I am trying to get back to the machines I installed UD Agent on & switch them to BOINC. As spread out as they are, it takes a while. Don't know if it crunches faster (boinc credits are multiplied by 7 for the points system on WCG) but on the odd occasion WCG is unavailable Boinc can easily be switched to another project (there are lots of bio/med ones out there) and back again.  |

Don't know if it crunches faster (boinc credits are multiplied by 7 for the points system on WCG) but on the odd occasion WCG is unavailable Boinc can easily be switched to another project (there are lots of bio/med ones out there) and back again. Thats why I got 2 other projects on a lower priority running too... |

That is true, but when you have 60 machines spread over 9 locations around town, it's a little harder to switch them between projects than if they are all at one spot. BTW: At my current rate, I'll be in the top 5000 in personal stats within a day or 2. I am in the top 5000 in CPU time, just over 5000 in points and at 11,000 in results returned. That is true, but when you have 60 machines spread over 9 locations around town, it's a little harder to switch them between projects than if they are all at one spot. I was thinking of us mere mortals with a few machines..... but you could set project preferences to for instance 1000 WCG and 1 for the backup so in normal circumstances the back up would hardly ever run but it would get work if no WCG or set the cache big enough so a few days outage makes no difference or use BAM (Boinc account manager) which lets you set up all the machines at once. 60 machines..good job |

Today: Holding 12 spot on results and are top 50 all-round once again. BOINC has us as top 250. I guess I can hang with that.
----------------------------------------Just to let you know. im confining myself to this and the other 2 threads I host in the chat room. Im doing this to prevent being labled as one who dances on graves. If you want to know why, look in caring and sharing. What bothers me now is not that there is a forum devoted to memorials. Its that the basic needs of the community are being overlooked. Much is needed but no one seems to notice. Then when someone notices that the chat room here is becoming more and more worthless due to overcrouding, that the same space is allocated to a hopefully slow thread? There is no logic in this. My true worry now is that nothing will be done to solve the meat grinder called a chat room here. How can they expect a good post if it will be off on some distant page in a day or 2. I wonder how the old people posting here feel about us coming in and destroying there fun. What you bet if i suggest they open up a few more forums to beable to handle the current needs, they dont do it and say that we got one already, and to be happy with that. so, as i said, im sticking close to home. when i look at team stats and mind team business, it helps me not notice the stupidity that i see elsewhere in this forum.
