Here's something to think about while you are bored

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gmP4nk0EOE

I think I discovered the Internet proper in around 1996 when I realised it's power after creating my first HTML in Hotdog (from a company called Sausage) to be used as a audio/visual aid for part of my Teachers Certificate coursework. I downloaded (at V42bis speeds ) a 7M download around midnight by first thing the following morning it was complete. The first of many nights since with the candle being burned at both ends.

We've come a long way since then the WCG being one manifestation of this incredible network we have at our disposal.

Night from the UK

Dave

Re: The I'm Bored Thread

etymology... 'lig' is likely from across the (small) pond..... 'ik lig' meaning 'i lie' (in bed). The German is 'Ich liege' and the Italian 'in letto' is also 'in bed'.

That covered 5 languages without the use of a dictionary....

Enjoy today, for there might not be a tomorrow

In Iddisch a Ligger (or ligner) is a liar, not a lier
