I always have to start the agent manual on my windows pc. I know there is a way to have it automatically start upon a reboot, any help?

Hi kwisniew
----------------------------------------Both agents BOINC and UD should start automatically after a reboot (but you can set them up not to) If you find out which type you are using the UD agent has "Powered by United Devices" in the bottom right hand of the front page. BOINC will put a Capital Gold B on a dark circle in the notification area of your toolbar. You never know it might be running already (n.b it's a big bouncing B on OS X and I never did find out what you get on Linux) Once you find out which agent you are using try posting in the appropriate BOINC or WINDOWS UD agent support forums and you'll be surprised how quickly people from around the globe will come to your assistance. Happy Crunching Dave ![]() |

Thanks, I have the UD agent, I have been running for over a year but some how must have disabled the start up. I am running Windows, yuch.
Will go to the Windows UD forums, I'll try looking in there as well, thanks. |

Hi kwisniew
----------------------------------------Just drag your WCG UD agent program, the one that you click on to start crunching into the startup (which used to be a folder in Win 3.1) group under the Start Button - All Programs. That should fix it Dave (edit because my grammar are terrible) ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Jan 17, 2007 1:11:32 AM] |
