2 more work units are getting the MD5 error and won't complete the download. For reference, I'm only running fcg units.

Re: Unable to upload finished work units

Zombie67,

From the numbers, the 2 files are part of a single FAAH task. What does the task tab say on the WU... Uploading, Ready to Report....anything else?

These are the Task Tab messages per 5.4.11:
Each task is either:

* Aborted by user: Result has been aborted.
* Downloading: Input files are being downloaded.
* Preempted: Result has been suspended by the client-side scheduler and will be resumed the next time the project comes up in the processing rotation.
* Ready to report: Waiting to notify the scheduling server.
* Ready to run: An estimate of the total CPU time is shown.
* Running: Elapsed CPU time and estimated percent done is shown.
* Suspended by user: Task has been suspended by the user. Use the 'Resume' button on this tab to resume the task.
* Uploading: Output files are being uploaded.
* Activities Suspended: BOINC is suspended, either by the Activity->Suspend menu item or benchmarks are running
* Project suspended by user: Project has been suspended by user. Use the 'Resume' button on the Projects tab to resume the project.

You may abort these as they will most probably not complete download properly. No harm done.... someone else will get them shortly after.

Re: Unable to upload finished work units

Ok, Sekerob. Just aborted 3 units and downloaded a new one successfully. So I assume this is only happening on specific work units and is not a server problem? I didn't take note of the exact units but they looked to have the same numbers as the ones I aborted last night.

Just today alone I had to abort about 20 downloads of this work unit...

Sekerob;
I had 6 or 8 WU's locked in Download status that I COULDN'T abort!

I reset the project and immediately downloaded 4 fresh FCG1 5.10 WU's that appear to be working fine we'll see when they start to complete confused

Re: Unable to upload finished work units

Sport,
Are you aborting them from the "transfers" tab first?

Re: Unable to upload finished work units

Yep....FCG1(GC) which are the only once at present that use compression and will cause the MD5 error if transmission goes awry. Somehow they cant recover, but read a fix is planned for the 5.8 official release. Will enquire in the Beta section regarding the upcoming HPF2 for BOINC.

Re: Unable to upload finished work units

I triied everything, but the list just kept getting longer! Since nothing was running I saw no harm in resetting the entire project ; seems to have been the right decision

What kind of luck are people with the boinc 5.8.x betas?
Is it worth risking the time to install it over ...or beside 5.4.11???
