Anyway, the number of jobs seem to be less than are being crunched on my systems. Over all messages, I now see 232 uploaded / 104 downloaded.
If that continues, I guestimate we'll have fun starting friday afternoon again.

There is a limit of 1000 tasks per client, after overshooting that you will get "Too many runnable tasks", and then there is the limit of 70 tasks per thread.

Is that documented anywhere?

While it may not be documented in the (official) Help section, you should be able to find discussions about the limits in this forum.

There's one link I would not want to withhold, easy to find (if you know the searchterms to use nerd) if you search for "70" and posted by uplinger - I tried several searchterms and in the end it was not knreed and it was not the word "threads", trial and error while it seemed so easy. wink

Is there a workflow problem or not enough work generated to process? My machines are just about dry of any work.

I also noticed that when no tasks are available. Sometimes, some of the projects do not report : No tasks are available for <insert project name>

There are very few WUs at the moment. only MCM seems to have any WUs, and there is limited supply of those.

If it is easy to open the spigot on the MCMs a little that would be nice, but only if it is easy.

I want to wish the Krembil crew a Happy Holiday and a Great new year. Let us all give the team a break during this time, so they can come back refreshed to tackle these problems.

My linux machine is getting regular tasks and have built up a healthy queue, but my Windows based machines have received no work for 24 hours

Here, the problem seems to have stabilized - my main 88 thread machine is now stable at 700 tasks in total. That means it doesn't get enough work (should be @ 1000 tasks) but the total doesn't seem to go down anymore, at least.

Are there problems again? The last 6 hours or so, I don't get ANY new work, not even resends, on 3 of my 4 machines.

The 4th one does get new work, but only a frw workunits at a time.

Although it's a bit odd, you don't hear me complaining. wink

The next three ARP1-tasks will only finish in 7 hours, so there is enough time left for uploading these two. laughing

UPDATE: Several hours later everything had gone back to normal for finished ARP1-tasks with upload speeds of about 500 KBps, as expected. blushing

Well, as I'm currently just shy of 60 CPU days from my five year OPN badge, I was looking to open up and expand my MCM contribution again - the recent news has just forced my hand slightly sooner than I was planning.
Now, the machine that had run dry of ARP & OPN, now is being half utilised again - i.e., 2 out of the 4 CPU's have MCM WU's biggrin
