Looking for a challenge for you and your team to compete in while generating points for your preferred research? Team BOINC@TOKYO started the “Lets get the ball rolling.WCG” open challenge, where you and your team can compete against other teams across the world to achieve the highest points per day increase. The challenge runs from November 16 until January 15, 2023 and the winner of the challenge will be the team with the largest percent increase over their baseline points per day average.
Your individual contribution may seem small but together we are making the impossible possible. Thank you for your contributions. Sign up here Learn more about team challenges here |

A team challenge? You got to be kidding!
----------------------------------------Can't you first see that you get the system going smoothly in all aspects before you engage in such child's play? I am seeing upload errors again on several hosts when checking this morning, the last couple of weeks that always was an indicator that the web site is about going down. SMH... Ralf |

Ralf You mean you actually have WUS to upload lol. I haven't got any new WUs in well over a day lol. Yeah...priorities need to be figured out I think first before a Challenge. |

I'm usually an optimist about things, but I think this is the wrong time to issue a team challenge. Some people are alright with the limping state of WCG, and we are your alpha testers, I guess. I wouldn't want to encourage anyone new or anyone who isn't already alright with an alpha test site to come back and think this is a "working" site.
My machine is idle or doing other sites as I can't reliably get WUs for the projects I have chosen. I haven't bothered to connect more than one machine to the project, as I want to make sure there are enough WUs for everyone that is here. I don't want to cause yet another person to get frustrated with a volunteer project that is understandably still in the construction phase. I'm not sure why you don't proclaim in big bold letter "under construction" feel free to join our group and help us work out the problems, but don't expect this site to not have some bumps along the way. I think many of the problems come from you sending out emails or posts to drag people here when the site is having some MAJOR issues, and it not being clear that this site is in an ALPHA/BETA state. |

Would prefer to see resuts updated hours and days from February.
----------------------------------------That would be a nice challenge for WCG for you Zou liever zien dat vanaf februari de resutaten uren en dagen bijgewerkt zouden zijn. Dat zou voor jullie een mooie uitdaging zijn voor WCG [Edit 1 times, last edit by SpekAal at Nov 22, 2022 9:27:37 PM] |

We simply wanted to promote it to more volunteers and teams. Work is still being done on the backend as this challenge happens. |

A team challenge now, when electricity prices skyrocket here in Europe (and the U.K), and the inflation is the highest in 40 years? Food prices and other living cost is now almost unbearable.
So, not a chance that I will participate in any team challenge for the foreseeable future. Survival is now on top of the list for most people, not any team challenge. |

how about a roadmap? with weekly crossoffs? the kind that a project manager would do? That is a great idea. I hope they take you up on that. Cheers
