Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Ou poi,

building admin lady has upgrade my Internet connection biggrin
Nope, do not mind, still worth of 99 cent on month.

Are you kidding me? Mine is $45 for 7 mb lucky to get 1mb sometimes. Internet connection is almost maxed out already with uploads and downloads to here. Would kill for ping of 6 while gaming...I'm jealous too!

cool Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Wow...1,047,071 points! An increase from around 450,000 per day. With Ryan and my GPUs, it should really help the team. :)

Although it looks like WCG gives less points than other projects like GPUgrid for the same power.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I agree - Great job. It is nice to see a lot of throughput. Probably even more once they get the validators tuned to handle the additional load. Great job everyone. Keep on crunchin.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Very fun to see what mclaver and ryan22h can do here with their GPUs! Good job!

My daily points at WCG have approximately doubled since HCC GPU came on line, too (but that still puts me at a tiny fraction of what these guys are doing....) If there were a Linux GPU application here, I'd be doing much better, but I'm still happy. :)

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Some good news and bad news about AMD:

They just launched their "Piledriver" desktop cpu's. But analysts still see AMD as a lost cause. Will do my best to support their products if the performance is decent.

Nice work, Mitch.

Bearcat, let us know how the 7870 does and if you can run multiples...

I did not realize that WCG GPU did not support Linux. I have 2 GTX295s on my Linuz machines. Over the weekend I may change those with my 2 GTRX 260 to get more power to WCG.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Long time no see folks. Just got a new laptop with an AMD A8-4500M APU (Trinity) and it crunches HCC with GPU just fine - takes about 11 minutes per WU. Not bad for a 35W chip!

Yes, quite a while now. Is your machine also doing cpu work at the same time ? Are you now comfortably ensconced in your new abode ? Is it meeting your expectations ?

Nope, not kidding.
This connection was negotiated by building admin lady and my maintenance fee went up 99 cent per month.
She sure knows how to make me happy love struck

Aporoo, I tested from here to there (4350 miles).
Still get to some nice numbers, please feel very free to pick this up with your local company biggrin
I think they might overcharge or something...
