Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Just to inform you: Mermaids don't exist in the USA.
They seem to exist in a legged version in Finland!
Small wonder they win when they cheat tongue

In Denmark we have two mermaids: blushing undersigned and
the official one at the entry of the port of Copenhagen

- here captured when embarking on a journey to the World Expo in Shanghai.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Well, I'm back. Had my flight delayed twice and got home at 2:30 AM this morning.
Other than the first day I had a wonderful trip. It was for the most part unseasonably cool weather. The salton sea was probably the hottest I've felt in a long time but the birding there was fantastic! The Kern valley was very enjoyable too. Drove from there to see the Sequoia's. Awesome site! The Channel Islands were nice, got to see the Island Scrub Jay, only place in the world to see this subspecies.
...As soon as I get my photo's orginized I will post some.

Oh good, so glad the rest of the trip was so great (including cool weather, unlike MN and IA).

Can't wait to see your photos. The photos (nature, Finland, mermaids...) on this thread are always both enjoyable and educational!

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Welcome back. Hope that cool weather you had actually make its way here. Looks like a few cool days before going back up. Definitely a weird summer for weather.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

he-he she's very pretty and complete with tail and all.
Correction:
Finland has one perfect mermaid with a tail and one legged one who wins dragon fights.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Thought mermaids transformed fin to legs when out of the water. Bet the beast wishes he had not tangled with the mermaid. laughing

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Maybe the Finnish mermaids do that, Bearcat.
Unfortunately, if the Danish ones want legs they come at a high cost. Pain.
However, just recently I saw a funny sculpture. On a boulder lay the tail finn skin
- no signs of the mermaid except for painted footprints on the pavement ....

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

If they want out of the water bad enough, guess they will endure the pain. Would gladly be there to give her a hand upon transformation. biggrin
