Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

At Dinner time we broke thru the May 06 record and upped the mark from 3976 years in a calender month....... the new October record will be around 4926 years....watch this space as another 50,000+ day can't barely be missed....

ketch u laeter

PS... the graphs in previous posts are no semi-live.... they will auto-update periodically. All but 1, now carry a familiar background. Future versions will carry exact date/time stamp of last update.....nothing written in stone ;>)

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

Morning Dave
Morning Hal
Daaave, does it feel like we had a special day yesterday?
Yes Hal, we broke several new records yesterday Hal!
That's wonderful Dave, and what were they Dave?
Hal, well, on October 31, 2006 it was the first time WCG broke thru the 140 years of decease crunching Hal!
And Hal, that's the equivalent to 51133 days of computing Hal!
That's outstanding Dave!
But Hal, there's more.....
Really Dave?
Yes Hal, We also computed 4027 years of CPU time in the Month of October, AD 2006 Hal,
That's Superior Dave!
Thinks so too Hal, and there is more to come...... smile

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

Sek there's only thee and me bothered about the stats laughing

but I'm glad I can chat to someone about it. I think it must be a flaw in my character.

Maybe in the future we'll find a cure for this stats addiction you seem to have it baaaaaddddd

Numbers have always intrigued me but I didn't get beyond "O" level (don't know how this equates to the rest of the world) my A level maths teacher was a Citroen Car fanatic and so most lessons were on hydroelastic suspension and at the end of 2 more years of study I got another Maths O level d oh

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

Congratulations Sekerob. Quite a milestone.

Some of the rest of us may not say much, but we also find your stats udderly (Dutch Power Cows) fascinating.

Cheers

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

thx Sgt.Joe

Did not touch this thread for a few days and low and behold it sunk already to spot 78 in the list of 'Recent Threads'.... yes, Dave and me seem to be the global stats-bearers ;>)

Anyway, last week ending Friday Nov, 03 was a week of records:

1. October 31 ended in a new calendar month record of 4,027 years crunched
2. 2nd Week where we collected more than 250,000 days of processing time in a work week (monday-friday) averaging a daily >50,000
3. A new weekly record upped to 925 years, inclusive 3 more 50,000+ days (from previous 922 years). We stand now at 18 of those.
4. New day record of 51,113 CPU days / PC's full time equivalent on Oct.31.

The number of WU's was no record.... the Help Defeat Cancer batches were very heavy this week.

Anyway, I'm aiming for a tranquil weekend on the shores ..... there's a foul wind and the 3km mountains have turned completely white on Nov.01. Largest snow cap i have seen this early in the autumn......does Gaya take revenge?

cheers

PS Graphs in posts up in this thread will update automatically .....for the interestees of course drooling
