Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

66 years plus at the half way mark

Do you think we have another one the bag this week based on the numbers you've seen so far Sekerob?

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

(while rummaging thru endless reams of plots, prints, projections, permutations)......It all depends on the size of the 3rd Quart....always the most sizable (Europe)....than when the clock reaches the US/America's, things tail off....every day, but particular on the TGIF day.... we never had a 50,000 day on the eve of the Shabbat.

Anyway, we need 'Only' 62 more years to break the all time record week.....that i think will happen unavoidably......be on the Outlook for some graphs if it happens

:D

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

(Sucks breath over teeth)

It's going to be close but the brakes have come on as we wind down for the weekend (one of my old bosses used to make us laugh every Friday as he did his tour and ask "Winding down for the weekend?" - regular as clockwork biggrin )

Sek I reckon on a 49K day today but you know I've been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again one day maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but soon and for the rest of my life

Dave

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

Well, it's confirmed Dave, u'r a 49er (49353 or thereabouts);>].

None the less, the old week record of April '06 was blasted and pumped up to

922years
209days
17hours
25minutes
34seconds
...

7 years more which also has some cyclical meaning.

This week of records is likely to be followed by yet another....... breaking the all time and first time barrier of 4,000 years in one month..... we're now on 3,511 and recent Saturday-Tuesday totals have been topping 500.... over to you, but first a few from the picture gallery rescued from that early 06.06 UTC Saturday morning update:

Edit: Pi Graph updated

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

Yeah, had a "hard talk" this morning with my alter ego (about the choice of colours to fly wink and it became this....

still not worked out how for the pi i can get the hyperlinks into the data labels.... think it will be some sort of overlay method, but far from ideal as these labels move around.... probably assign wider areas, then integrate into a web page....just thinking out loud...... (was it thin air u mentioned) :D

ketch u laeter

Edit: Updated graph thru Oct.31'06 Dinner Time and reformatted the dates to allow "conventional" sorting ;>)

Re: The 50,000+ CPU Days Per Day Thread

something like 132 years and 100 days to make it # 15 and aim for an other run at the 5x5x10,000 grand slam of crunching....250,000 CPU days in a work week.

Than, the 4,000 years in October are within a grasp.... just 5 more sessions ..... looks like to be close to 4,020+ ....... maybe Greenspan could say something innocuous mixed into his dollar comments ;>)
