Just watched Good Morning America this morning and they were talking about a cancer vaccine available now. Is this related to WCG in any way?

Americans 'Bombarded' with Cancer Causes
Americans are being "bombarded" with chemicals, gases and radiation that can cause cancer, and the federal government must do far more to protect them, presidential cancer advisers said on Thursday. Although as many as two-thirds of cancer cases are caused by lifestyle choices like smoking, poor diet and lack of exercise, the panel said many avoidable cancers were also caused by pollution, radon from the soil and medical imaging scans. Since so little is known about the possible risks of cell phones, people would be prudent to wear headsets and make calls quickly, the two members of the panel advised. "The panel was particularly concerned to find that the true burden of environmentally induced cancer has been grossly underestimated," they wrote in the report, available at www.pcp.cancer.gov.... PS As for the link – www.pcp.cancer.gov – eliminate the www. and it works. So the correct link is pcp.cancer.gov |

Leukemia kills … a lot … but it is curable
Leukemia isn't talked about as much as breast, lung or colorectal cancer, but it still kills — more than 50,000 people last year alone, according to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society That might not sound like a lot, but it's more than breast cancer (slightly more than 40,000). And when broken down on a daily basis, that's 146 deaths per day … or six-plus every hour. Leukemia is a serious problem. But many people don't really understand what it is, how it develops and how it can be treated, according to Dr. Michael Nissenblatt, a medical oncologist and director of the Central Jersey Oncology Center and the associate director of oncology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital........ |

Cancer linked to our food
AN alarming US cancer report calls for the removal of toxins from food and water, warning the risk from chemicals and pesticides had been hugely underestimated. The President's Cancer Panel report found children were particularly at risk of "grievous harm" from almost 80,000 chemicals used, largely unregulated, in daily life. Cancer Council Australia chief executive officer Prof Ian Olver backed the findings, saying more needed to be done to understand the consequences of carcinogens and pesticides. He said chemicals still accounted for only a small proportion of cases when compared to lifestyle factors such as smoking and obesity. "We should not ignore the fact there are a lot of chemicals in society that could have potential for causing cancer and we should properly evaluate these things before we let them into foodstuffs and the workplace," Prof Olver said. "Some of the testing has been inadequate..... |

Columbia University Study Shows Modified Citrus Pectin Fights Prostate Cancer
SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Researchers at Columbia University recently analyzed the positive effects of Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) on human and mouse prostate cancer cell lines. The results, as reported by lead researcher Dr. Aaron Katz in the online-first publication of Integrative Cancer Therapies, show that MCP inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in both androgen-dependent and androgen-independent cancer cells in a time and dose-dependent manner...... |
