The first frosts appeared overnight the lawn was crispy white this morning even on the South Coast of the UK

January's are for me the pits it's not so much the cold but the dark.
----------------------------------------I should have been a migratory bird. Clocks go back this weekend so great it will get dark even earlier (party) it's around 6pm even now I'm sure my Tropical Fish hobby is purely on account of a couple of great flourecent lamps that brighten a dark evening in Winter. I get that SAD thing bad at this time of year. You can see why there are so many light metaphors used in the Bible. Let's not hide this team's one under a bushel. Keep those CPU's glowing  Dave |

Dave, it sounds like your back from your trip. Did you & your family enjoy yourselves?
I totally agree on the whole winter/time change discussion. Especially on the time change! This has been Indiana's first cycle for the changing of clocks and quite a few of us over here don't much like it. It was so much easier to just let everyone else change.... we were the steadfast, "you always know what time it is here", kind of people. Oh well, I could use the extra sleep. |

----------------------------------------Unfortunately it was on Business so no holiday for me or the family. I've been Training again in Telecoms. I'm working on a way to broadcast over the Internet so I don't have to be there in person next time which should have some spin offs for www.wcgwiki.org. You should see the soundproof booth I'm building in the Garage I think I might be cut out to be an Amish with my wood working skills. Dave |
