Boy, we did just squeak by didn't we? 1,730 isn't all that much. I guess it's time for me to hit up some more friends about joining so we can continue upward.
By the way, Dave, I really like my Core Duo laptop. It does a really nice job pumping out those points. I highly recommend you get one for yourself... and maybe Emily too. Christmas is right around the corner. ![]() |

Actually..... I'd prefer a new Dell XPS M2010. I have just the place for such an animal.Oh well. I'm working redoing my basement. No computer stuff this year. By the way, have you notice how well ForDawn, Brace Potthoff, jfare, chuckiej, DrDoofus and jasoncdennison are doing? I love to see rather new members doing a great job. I could name more but I need to head off. Keep up the good work all ![]() |

only one gripe so far and that's the high pitched squeal that I think must be some switch mode PSU doing it's battery charging thing. Looked it up on Google and I'm sorry Sek but it looks like it might be worse on the Pro
---------------------------------------- Still great to see it burning its way through 2 WU's at the same time - I'm sorry I started out with a ZX81 way way back (the clue is in the name) I'm always this amazed when new technology comes along I apologise for being so Sad. My kids are always underwhelmed by anything new ![]() |

I'm always this amazed when new technology comes along I apologise for being so Sad. My kids are always underwhelmed by anything new Yep. I had a Commodore 128, TI-99/4A and a Trash-80. I still remember what a big deal it was when the Apple IIe (emphasis on the "e") was released, and how much trouble Jobs got in for the $10,000 Lisa that was obsolete and abandoned after only 6 months. In college, I was hired to re-write a FORTRAN chemical analysis program into BASIC. I had to cram it into the IIe (48k RAM). The program was so tight that I had to dump the DOS in step one to make room for array and variable allocations. It made for a painful debugging process. After each test run, you could not fix the code without doing a full restart, since the operating system had to be reloaded. Remember those good, old 360k floppy's? Man I'm old. ![]() |
