Hi Lighthouse my contract is coming to an end this week and so it's handover time. Major brain dump in progress.
----------------------------------------Best thing is though next week something new. I'm turning software engineer for a week working on my own product (at last ) which already has a buyer (Double ) - then it's see where God takes me next. I've no idea which is a great place to be.Hope this makes sense Dave ![]() |

Hi there Lighthouse. Where have you been hanging around these days? We've missed having you around and your conversation. Hope all is well.
Dave, don't dump too much of that brain. It's got many other uses you know. Off to work I go. |

Marcelle: I haven't been posting much these last months because life has been close to overwhelming. My mom's health took a temporary turn south in June, and she needed almost constant company for several months. Between myself and my wife, one of us has tried to be with her, but since we both have our own businesses, our finances have taken a big hit. It's worth it - family should always come first, but my wife's business has all but collapsed, and mine has required me to put in long hours to take up the slack. Things are settling down now. My mom agreed to sell her house and move to our town so it is not so time consuming to go visit.
----------------------------------------I got started with Serious Crunchers at the other cancer crunching site, and when they started a team here too, I moved on over to support them. No offense intended by my leaving here. David: I hope your new "product" works out - the Lord blessed us in surprising ways once I made the decision to go independent - I'll have to tell you the story sometime. ![]() |

Lighthouse,
I'm truly sorry about your mom's health and the family/work/financial struggles that has brought on for you and your wife. You've all been prayed for. No offense taken in your move to Serious Crunchers. I'm just glad to see you're still around. Hope the last few months of the year are good to you all. |

----------------------------------------I wonder if Poland has noticed the slow rumble behind them? And scalewiz, from what I can tell from your points, it certainly looks like your winter air conditioned PC seems to be cranking along pretty well! Great job. Hi Marcelle the next joiner is all yours it's a promise.
----------------------------------------I'll email you next time around with a tip off As it's the end of my contract today the works laptop has gone back so it's tiny fan can have a bit of a break so I'm down to just a potential 5 days a day now Now how do I convince my Wife or anyone else for that matter that I really actually need that dual core processor? The Sunday podcasts would take a few less seconds to create and video podcasts would take less time to render but that's never going to cut it The Mobo I am using now is 4 whole years old!! Best Value Motherboard ever the ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe started out with a 2100+ via a 3000+ to it's current Socket A 3200+ Only just gone raid Suggestions on a postcard please to Dave Autumns C/O Autumns Towers, Somewhere on the South Coast of England. They will have to be good - support for DX10 is bound to transfer to the trusty AGP Socket soon. Vista shouldn't be a problem either. Looks like I'll still be using this board in another 4 years ![]() ![]() |
