As for the P2 - bring it on! Fired mine up on Friday I'm personally looking forward to seeing the 'Slugettes' making an appearance soon! ![]() Got my service sorted to keep BOINC running, so hopefully my stats should now start to look better now (Bit of a killer when a dual xeon doing nothing but crunching shuts down for 3 days without you noticing) The Slugettes seem to trying their best today though.... |

Hiya Slug!
----------------------------------------Glad you've got your farm under control and are slimeing on all cylinders, so to speak. I suspect the slugettes may well rampage the pie patch this evening - most of my results have seemed to go to the great pending validation pot in the sky.... So, other than the obvious, what nature of beasties are the slugettes? Are we talking about big black slugs or the more hungry destructive brown variety? One day I hope to find enough time to bring my second Conroe on line. Don't expect it will be any time in the next 3 weeks though. I'm going to christen it ...... Evening Jonny, Yorky,
Slimed by the slugettes yesterday, and I expect the same today. 163 Results pending at the moment. Always the same when you go away for a few days - it seems to take a week before things average out again. Good on you Slug! Enjoy the pie while you can. Kind of motivated to bring the build of 'Phasmar' forwards now ![]() |

Hey JC are you snowed in?
Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this Heavy snow will continue to spread through El Paso County through noon MDT today...as a significant storm system moves across the region. Bands of heavy...wet snow in the moist flow will produce rapid accumulations of over an inch an hour. Northwest surface winds of 20 to 35 mph...with gusts to around 40 mph will also result in drastically reduced visibilities...even in a lighter snow fall. Eight to 13 inches of snow has been reported in the northern El Paso County...with 3 to 8 inches in southern El Paso County...including the city of Colorado Springs. I sure hope not, I'll miss you being around. Hope you didn't lose power. *fingers crossed* ![]() |

Evening JM
Unfortunately, I had a bit of a virus problem yesterday, so no witty response! I don't think you need to worry too much at the moment about your slice of pie, as the slugettes, it appears, are a little older than I suspected. (This isn't helped, by the fact that that people actually have the cheek to use them during the day! )I suppose we're talking about the 'Gray-Haired' variety of slug here ! (With walking-stick )Looking on the bright side at least other cruchers are having problems with BOINC quiting (http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=8861 ), but I don't think it shouldn't affect my stats too much as it seems to be when BOINC has finished a unit. I'll have to search in a few more dark, dank places.... Slug |

Hiya Slug!
Unfortunately, I had a bit of a virus problem yesterday... But Phasmar is more bacterial than viral - and I havn't even deployed it yet I know now what problem you are referring to however. I had the same issue on an XP box, with BOINC running as a service. Sometimes, on that system, I couldn't get into BOIC using BOINC Manager, and other times it would seem to reset when I did. The solution was straightforward - I just use BoincView now... |
