Re: Inactive devices

That's when the screensaver is running. I was talking about when the screensaver isn't running. See, it all makes sense :-D

Re: (blank) screensaver

I get a bit worried when people start talking about (none) as the choice for a screensaver. (blank) is much safer, preventing screen burnin. It does not use any CPU cycles.

Re: (blank) screensaver

No, "none" makes perfect sense - so long as the monitor is set to go into power-saving mode (switch off). This saves the screen and saves power. win-win.

biggrin Re: (blank) screensaver

Belt and suspenders - I use (blank) relatively quickly and power down after a longer interval to minimize power surges when turning the screen back on.

Re: Inactive devices

I would like to clean out all the INACTIVE devices

@REJ05, As I see it, the variations within this community would make it difficult to determine who is inactive and who is just busy with life outside for a while. Members of the WCG belt out a consistant 1,000,000+ hours of useable crunching time every day . Does it really matter what percentage of those machines are 'inactive'?
