Re: Gettin' there.

can we have more pictures of beer (hmmmmm...)

Johnny --

Here's a picture of the home brew pub of a fellow on one of the homebrewing forums I participate in. I think he is into it just a tad bit more than I am with 12 beers on tap (I think most are homebrewed):

He and another guy owned a brewpub for a while, but gave it up when they weren't making enough money for the investment in it. He also has pictures of his home brewing setup on his website -- he can brew two 10 gallon batches and one 5 gallon batch at the same time. With the setup he has, I am sure he has a lot of friends who help him to consume all that beer he is making biggrin

Wow that is some setup! Address please Dave? cool

Johnny,

He lives in Livermore, California. I think that the beer that he and his partner brewed in their brewpub was called Sharks Tooth. Here's a picture of his brewing equipment at home:

In the foreground are the two ten gallon setups and behind them is the five gallon one. Look at all of the five gallon kegs off to the right!

Morning Graham.

You're not kidding about it being cold. Brrrr! I got up at 8 am, made a cuppa, and crawled back under the duvet. Finally resurfaced two hours later. Man, I'm glad I don't have to go to work today.

No sign of our 242nd member yet, but I just know he or she is thinking about it.

Good morning Graham and Gremlin2. As it is at this moment 06:59 AM here in the eastern time zone in the US, I guess I just made it for morning there. By the time I click on "Reply to this post" it will be afternoon for you. Seeing you talking about the cold there this morning, I am reminded that our team mate, Wardstar, will be waking up next week at this time after having endured the cold by sleeping out in a cardboard box as he works to help raise funds for the homeless. I hope he will have a bit of a break in the weather that night.

Big football day here today. The games that decide which teams will face each other in the Super Bow on February 5 l will be played. The first game is the AFC championship game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos starts at 15:00 EST. After that game, my Carolina Panthers will face the Seattle Seahawks at 18:30 in the NFC championship game. About all I can say now is:

GO PANTHERS!!!

Dave, you really are spot on. The event has really gathered momentum with roughly 40 people sleeping outside next Saturday night.

All the hard work, planning and organising this event seems to be paying dividends!

Of course though, it doesn't matter about the ins and outs, what's important is all that lovely sponsorship money wink

I have a £15,000 target on the event, £15000/40 = £375 per person!

I will be speaking live on air to the local radio station Splash FM about 0730 GMT, and with internet radio, anyone interested can tune in and listen on www.splashfm.com

It is the best day of the year here, bright blue skies and sun (the sunny south coast!)

979 points yesterday, just 21 short - today is another day to crack 1000!

All the best

Wardstar

Hi DB!

Guess I'll back the Panthers to win by a fair few points. No, make that a landslide.

It has been so dry that cactus need water..but it rained last night for the first time in months. Good morning to stay inside, warm and dry while tinkering with a computer.
