Good Morning Team (© Graham -- LOL)
----------------------------------------Good afternoon or evening to everyone else depending on where in the MOT world you are living. A bit of a late start for me this morning, but it was nice to sleep in a bit for once. Today promises to be absolutely great weather-wise here. They are predicting a high temperature of 68 degrees fahrenheit (20 degrees Celcius) with lots of sunshine! While we do have occasional dives down into real wintertime temperatures here in North Carolina, it certainly is a big difference from the winters I had living in Chicago for 50 years. My sons have told me that even Chicago has had some pretty mild weather this winter, but their idea of mild weather is closer to an average winter day here with high temperatures in the 45-50 degree F range. I'm going to try to get out and enjoy a bit of it today. I need to get some groceries and after that, I may spend some time out behind my apartment at the picnic table enjoying the sun. Too early for that and, at the moment, too cold. Right now, at 8:20 AM, the temperature is 37 degrees F, so it has a long way to climb. I hope the rest of my team mates are able to enjoy days as nice as this one appears it will be here. Keep on crunchin'. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 20, 2006 2:02:00 PM] |

Got out of bed 4:30am I've been on 2 Trains, a Tube and 2 no driver Docklands Light railways. Got to the Docklands at 10am for a meeting - I can see the Millennium Dome (2 N's ) out of the window. Dave -- Perhaps you should have dropped your gaze a bit and watched the whale swim by. The BBC has an interesting article with pictures as well as a video of it. |

Yeuch! It's been wet, windy and miserable in my neck of the woods. But tomorrow is another day, and I have almost 2 weeks off work to help cheer me up. If I vanish to the coast for a few days, my boxes will still be crunching 24/7. I'm hoping to hit 50K points within my first month. Rightoh! I'll stop babbling and get on with it.

Absolutely gorgeous here this afternoon! It hasn't gotten up to the promised 68 degrees, but it is 63 and the sun is shining! Here is a picture from the tower of one of the local television stations (the view is looking back towards downtown Raleigh):

----------------------------------------Roll on those couple of days in May when we have an early summer but it's just stringing us along before the clouds form again and we are flooded out in the middle of July It'll soon be February when it will start snowing here in the UK. Mark my words you read it here first What a great place to live GB I think I should have been a migratory bird |
