Uh oh, bad news. My new computer is a bit of a power hog when running 24/7 like it has been. My electricity bill went from $54 to $131! That means I'm going to have to scale back my operations... Fortunately, however, I can leave my work computer running all the time on the company's dollar! I'll still post some good numbers, just not as good as before.

Actually, I'm running a test. This month, I'm cutting back on computing time and doing everything else the same. If the electricity bill is similar, then I'll go back to major crunching. I looked at my December electricity bill and compared it to the January one and yes, it's more, but the December one seems artificially low. We'll see what February brings. I suspect the electric furnace is the big power hog.

Ah, I'm back. It has taken me a week to recoup, but I have returned. What, you ask, have I been up to? Last week I spent an hour standing in Michigan's awful February weather with two beautiful girls wrapped around me. Our mission, DIR EN GREY! And it was AWESOME! And I'm not just talking having girls hanging off of me. Dir en grey was definitely worth the bout of illness we all suffered due to exposure. It's the sickness that's kept me under my covers for so long. But ooooh was it worth it.
garooob, no I haven't ever watched/read Super Gals. I'll have to check them out : ) Thanks for the info! This weekend I was subjected to Inuyasha. Now I don't greatly dislike the show, but it really isn't one of my favorites. Currently I'm dreading ever seeing it again because I was forced to watch all three movies consecutively multiple times over the course of three days. It seriously drove me batty. Hi 7cures! garooob - I added Super Gals to my Blockbuster online list. I have to say, renting movies online has been a bit of a godsend. It's fed my obsession nicely ; ) Especially since it would be so hard to see some titles otherwise.

I drew Gackt and Hyde earlier this month, also Shinya: Gackt in "Moonchild" Hyde in "Moonchild" Shinya of Dir en Grey Oh yea, if you like Gackt, Hyde, or just like watching random Japanese movies, I suggest watching "Moonchild". My Shu-chan bought it out of sheer fangirlishness and we found out that holy my they can actually act and it was actually a good movie. I've got a nice pile of DVDs I have to get to. Otherwise, Blockbuster online sounds like a good deal! I rented anime sometimes from a game shop when I lived in Phoenix.
----------------------------------------Ok, so I learned that my high electricity bill is probably due to the fact that Ameran raised their rates! From what I hear, some people are getting The Business, if you know what I mean. The apartment is old, too, and not well insulated. But, I did learn some important electricity saving tips, so we'll soon see me crunching like dot com again. Sounds like the concert went well! I'm waiting for the release of Paprika, Satoshi Kon's newest work. May, I think, is when it's coming out, possibly in theaters! |
