Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

what's everyone crunching on Android? none of my stuff has work.
Einstein's BRP4 and Moo! as backup project in case they run out of work (no idea when that happened last time, Einstein has very reliable WU supply).

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

We will never run out of work at Moo!. We haven't even done 5%. If it was run 24/7 on the latest super computer it would take 4 years to finish everything.

Einstein will never run out of work. Always new black holes and the such to find and old data to run again to see if we missed anything.

LHC with particle physics will never run out. It's just a matter of keep the server fed.

Actually 14.716% is completed as of today. It can end any second in case someone finds the key. RC5-56 was completed when it reached 36.533%.

I am interested to see your source of information for saying that the projects you mentioned above will "never run out of work"

I find it interesting how you say "Moo! will never run out of work" then you follow this by saying "if it was run 24/7 on the latest super computer it would take 4 years to finish everything". I am coming from the point of view that you're saying two different things in the same paragraph

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

Might be a practical constraint based on how poorly they are managing their projects? Right now all I'm seeing is some sort of thrashing in the Transfer tab. About 16 tasks that just keep switching status from Active to Pending. I've seen similar behaviors at least twice before, but they usually stopped after a minute or two. This time it seems to be persistent. No actual work being performed, so I guess this state will "never run out".

Are they the .png files? If so, they are the working files that the WU's will use when they get downloaded.
The problem has previously been mentioned.
