Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

So is this ever going to work again, I have been a member since 2007 and would rather not change to another project but surely there can be a meaningful update to everyone. Its very hard to find the status and what the next step.

The latest message on Jurisica from October 2nd actually sounds hopeful. They are internally testing the end-to-end upload path, while restricting external users to start uploading. But these restrictions should be removed "shortly".
Fingers crossed!

Yes. Krembil had earlier statements everything "should be up shortly"...

Keep in mind, "shortly" for Krembil can mean anything from "within a few hours" to "maybe in a month or two", when past performances are taken into consideration.

Wouldn't hold my breath up personally, you could turn blue pretty quickly.....

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

Well, something started moving, as I noticed that workstations are now able to upload WUs again, though reporting doesn't work yet.
There's light at the end of the tunnel, and this time, it might not be a freight train.
Any day now....

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

something seems to be weird:
when fetching work, the BOINC event log says:
03.10.2025 14:30:57 | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
03.10.2025 14:30:57 | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA GPU
03.10.2025 14:30:59 | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
03.10.2025 14:30:59 | World Community Grid | Another scheduler instance is running for this host
03.10.2025 14:30:59 | World Community Grid | Project requested delay of 121 seconds

what does "another scheduler instance is running for this host" mean in this case?

Thats a problem on the server side, which Krembil has to fix. Not an issue on your side.

It is almost weekend, so probably at the earliest they will have a look at it next monday.

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

I checked my systems and all of my transfers seem to have been uploaded. I still am not getting any additional WUs but it seems to be progress.

You won't get any new WUs after the ones that have been uploaded also have been reported. And then the feeder need to be running and have been filled with new WUs.
So there are still two steps in this process that needs to get a kick in the...

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

I'm holding off on returning most of my completed units until the handful on one machine turn valid. I'd hate to send them all home to only find out next week that there was a configuration problem and they had all ended up in the special filing system labeled B1N.

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

I had one computer upload the finished work. Reporting is not working.
The tablet upload is failing.

Then you can wait a long time. Nothing is going to be validated when it is not "reported"...
