Happy Monday. A good flow of MCM is still going out. There is a growing list of "waiting to be sent" resends, but it isn't slowing down the system.
I no longer have any 2024 WUs in my list. So something is happening. |

----------------------------------------Ha. See that Mark beat me to the post. Thank you all for posting the information that keeps the status current. edit: not a resend. an old one requiring 3 to be sent out at once. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Unixchick at Jan 20, 2025 6:16:52 PM] |

The completed sciences Smash Childhood Cancer and Help Stop TB have been removed from Device Profiles.
----------------------------------------They are still visible in System Requirements. Furthermore, Uncovering Genome Mysteries shows as Completed on 2006-11-10, while being released on 2014-10-14 (see this page from the API). (The error was introduced by the IBM team.) Adri EDIT 2025-01-22: See the UPDATEs above. UPDATE 2025-01-22: The program "wcgstats" (part of the WCGtools software) has also been updated to reflect the fact that HST1 and SCC1 are completed. Good eye, and report Adri. I hope the techs find this post useful.
I want to give the techs a big thank you. I love that we can have ARP and the system is still stable. I also like that the "extremes" have gone out first. Hopefully they loop around and send the extremes out again before the main group. I'm also excited about a new project coming soon. WCG is in a much better place now. If you are able it might be a good idea to send a donation (any amount) to show how grateful we are that they kept WCG going and improving. They took a big risk taking WCG and adding it to their responsibilities. |

Enjoy the ARPs. I'm guessing I'm now locked out from doing the extreme WUs due to a false invalid. I hope the project people see the info, and fix the issue (or tell me my machine shouldn't do ARPs) .
----------------------------------------Looks like they have been increasing the amount of ARPs going out. The system is still stable with no download or upload issues. Now I'm waiting for the new project, MAM, edited to add: I've gotten 11 ARPs - 2 valid, 1 invalid update: 2 valid, 2 invalid and it sent me a new WU. I don't think one invalid result would make your machine considered unreliable.
----------------------------------------With the small amount of ARP WUs released you are just lucky to receive any. I haven't received any yet. |

Hi!
----------------------------------------@ Adri: All but the System requrement are now fixed as far as I can tell 😏 Hans S. PS::: And from main forums site (https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/index) move the forums for "Help Stop TB" and "Smash Childhood Cancer" from Active Reserch down to Completed Research !! TLD - I think they have very high standards for who they send extreme ARP WUs to. There is a time component, as it has to finish in 1.5 days that will mean very busy machines won't. get any, and there is a reliability requirement, which I'm not sure where the line is. I had gotten 11 WUs, but the flow stopped once I got the invalid.
I hope I'm wrong and it is only that so few are going out. |

Hello WCG,
I have been trying to set up 5 pc's to process work units from the African Rainfall Project and was able to process a total of 6 units until the system went down in November. Since it has been back up I have not been able to process any. I was looking at the BOINC application and noticed Event Log so I opened it up and low and behold it says that both my AMD and my Intel GPU's are not set up to accept them. Does anyone know what I have to do to allow the GPU's to accept these Tasks???? 1/1/20/2025 8:36:51 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 1/20/2025 8:36:51 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU 1/20/2025 8:36:52 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 1/20/2025 8:36:52 PM | World Community Grid | No tasks sent 1/20/2025 8:36:52 PM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Africa Rainfall Project 1/20/2025 8:36:52 PM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for the applications you have selected. 1/20/2025 8:36:52 PM | World Community Grid | Tasks for AMD/ATI GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them 1/20/2025 8:36:52 PM | World Community Grid | Tasks for Intel GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them 1/20/2025 8:36:52 PM | World Community Grid | Project requested delay of 121 seconds Thanks for the Help. |
