I have tasks (all OPNG), but I can't Report them. They upload fine just don't Report... Unfortunately, a more critical problem showed up this afternoon. This was the first report I saw - 2 minutes before that I got a normal reply (but no work)..."12/2/2023 12:43:24 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request to https://scheduler.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi failed: HTTP service unavailable" Sat 02 Dec 2023 15:19:31 GMT | World Community Grid | Another scheduler instance is running for this host That has been the consistent reply ever since, except for the occasional HTTP error... Cheers - Al. [Edit 1 times, last edit by alanb1951 at Dec 2, 2023 8:41:35 PM] |

Just like Sgt. Joe, I've not seen a single issue with Dry Queues here.
Other than HTTP Service unavailable errors seen (only found when I dug deeper today), all of my machines have never run dry or even hiccup'd for several weeks now. Even if others nay-say, raise your queues to the sweet-spot of *2.8 days* and you'll never run dry, nor generate any past-due WU's. |

I see this is the Event Log on 2 systems (Windows):
12/2/2023 9:33:26 PM | World Community Grid | Another scheduler instance is running for this host Plenty of MCM tasks for CPU. Have not seen OPNG GPU tasks today but some a few days ago. This web site lists the work units for project and subproject: https://wuprop.boinc-af.org/active_projects.py |

Good tip Spiderman about the Options > Computing Preferences of more than a day. FWIW, I also upped the Device Profile > Project Limits for certain WCG subprojects

With the current problem, I have now run dry, probably with everybody else. Can't report completed units and can not get any more. Cheers

@Spiderrman In that calculation do you include both:raise your queues to the sweet-spot of *2.8 days* store at least xxx days of work store up to an additional xxx days of work or just the first one Will be running out in about 10 hours and no others Boinc projects have any. UGH Sidock One ran out but Rosetta kicked with about 12. [Edit 1 times, last edit by BobbyB at Dec 3, 2023 7:37:49 PM] |

I am also seeing the same issue as Sgt. Joe and others, "HTTP Service unavailable errors". I tried looking for a service health page for the world community gris services but came up empty. Is anyone aware of such a page?

We are all very much aware such a page is missing. With every mishap it's been mentioned again, but so far, no reaction, no plan, no page. We just wait and maybe it'll work again someday. Getting anything apart from 'I've mentioned this to the team' out of this project is very rare, and if that happens, chances are good that nothing will come of it.

Well, my only running computer is now officially out of work. All WU's uploaded, but as we all know by now, they can't be reported, and no new work can be downloaded. No biggie though, I know how to shut down the computer.
