Re: Upcoming System Outage September 26th

Finally, the "Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable" error in BOINC is gone, but now every request for new work is instead followed by the "Tasks are committed to other platforms" response.

Also the WCG "results" page is no longer bogged down in molasses. It does now return the results pretty quick.

When it comes to the device profile changes, they still do not propagate to BOINC.

Edit, added: The validators have finally woken up, and begun slowly but steadily to validate finished work.

Re: Upcoming System Outage September 26th

Edit, added: The validators have finally woken up, and begun slowly but steadily to validate finished work.

There are many crunchers who process many more work units than I do so the number of validations upon which they are waiting has to be tremendous. I thought it was pretty bad when I had about 5000 waiting validation, but now I am up to over 7500. If a small time guy like me has this many, the system must have a number which reaches into 7 figures.

Cheers

Re: Upcoming System Outage September 26th

Gosh, I'm shocked. I'm starting to get new (non resends) MCM1 tasks. Just in time, before my computer was totally empty of work.

Probably MCM1 sarcoma. Ovarian was a couple years ago.

Re: Upcoming System Outage September 26th

@hchc
No, ovarian is back, it's clearly ovarian when reading in the downloaded task file, as well as in a crunched tasks stderr_txt file.

Couldn't be clearer than this part from the stderr_txt file:
DatabaseFile dataset-curatedOvarian_EarlyLate_v1.0.txt
and
DatasetID = curatedOvarian_EarlyLate_v1.0

Have you missed this notice from the team?

Re: Upcoming System Outage September 26th

Device profile updates are not updating to the client. While SCC was running strong I limited MCM to just 4 tasks. I updated the device profile on MCM to unlimited. Yet the machines are staying at a max of 4 MCM WUs.
