Yep- I started to see this happening about 2 days ago with our Threadripper 5995WX system and now it is showing up on all the other systems. Work would trickle in, maybe 2-5 work units at a time, every once in a while. Yes, I just got my trickle of two MCM at 15:24 UTC on a Windows machine. Nothing for Linux yet. Cheers

I have plenty for both Windows and Linux and they're still coming in decent numbers.

I have plenty for both Windows and Linux and they're still coming in decent numbers. "Some" hosts have gotten a few more MCM1 WUs since I checked first time this morning, a couple of SCC1 resends, but certainly nothing that I would call "plenty". And I am gone for the rest of the day and all day tomorrow, so I don't have time to baby sit...I seriously don't like the "new normal"... Ralf |

I came here to find out why the supply of work dried up and found nothing. Perhaps some message from the Krembil folks.

A message from Krembil would be too much to hope for.

Which subprojects are you using?
My WCG History shows only 3-4 tasks per day crunched by 3 desktop systems since September 5 or so. |

A message from Krembil would be too much to hope for. Mike I can reliably forecast that message right now for you: 'I will mention this to the team to investigate´. There. Now you're happy, I assume? Then again, my linux systems seem to be limping along so far - 40 cores with 47 tasks (all MCM), 48 cores with 72 tasks (all MCM), 88 cores with 1400 tasks (down from 2000 normally). Availability is down but I seem to have/get just enough. [Edit 1 times, last edit by thunder7 at Sep 8, 2023 6:00:58 PM] |

The first hosts have now started to run empty.
And at least the external stats don't seem to have been properly processed since yesterday either. Seems like something is cooking again, and it doesn't smell right... Ralf |

Well, can't edit a previous post, so here goes a new one (when ever this might show up).
Fri 2023-09-08, 11:23PDT and I have currently 500 WUs still in progress across two dozen hosts, but the number of WUs in PVa jail has steadily increased to 1000 right now, higher than it has ever been... But what do I know, "alles so schön bunt hier"... Ralf |
