Why is such a big and well known project not issuing any work tasks? Beats me, but I have run out of WCG work for quite a while now. Unfortunately Rosetta cannot download to Linux systems, so I have no work from them either. And CPDN has very limited work available. So, mainly, I am running Einstein, MilkyWay, and Universe. All projects of little interest to me. ![]() |

Rosetta cannot download to Linux systems Worked OK on my Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 systems, not asking now. Other projects with medical work are TN-Grid and SiDock. Paul.

I see. Maybe this is all a big scientific experiment to test the validity of Murphy's Law. For at least the 46.5 years that I am working in the IT/computer related field, one thing that I have learned is that you never tempt fate to see which of Murphy's laws do apply at any given time. That only leads to multiple of them become applicable at once... ![]() ![]() Ralf ![]() |

Can we all assume that nobody on the WCG sysadmin team is on call to get alerts and respond to fixing stuff on the weekends? Sorry to be pessimistic/realistic, but I think that's Krembil's commitment to this project at this point until proven otherwise.

My CPU crunchboxes are all doing Folding@Home until WCG is back to full launch and stability. The management UI in Advanced Control lets me see all my boxes on the left side of the window and easily manage them. Plenty of cancer, COVID, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, etc. work available.

Been out of WU since 21:46:46 UTC 17.12.22, however, had 2 random bursts. First at 00:38:25 UTC 18.12.22 and a second 22:01:04 UTC 18.12.22, other than that, nothing, should last me 1.5hr at the most on my small machine. Really hoping the WCG team can pull something together, I have a host of machine on standby. I have been trying to defend WCG for so long with the transition from IBM from experience transitioning systems with legacy components, however, this is really beginning to drag on for too long.

I just got one MCM. Yeah, as few resends have come through, though I apparently didn't receive anything in the last 7-8h today anymore.Edit: Ah but it's a resend. Have now switched some local hosts to Einstein@Home only to notice that their web site isn't updating things properly either ![]() Just got a whole bunch of GPU tasks after returning a couple and neither the new ones nor the ones just returned show up on their site. Makes me kind of wonder of Krembil is spreading some kind of virus among BOINC project sites... Ralf ![]() |

I'm also not getting enough work, not because of network issues but because of no tasks being available. Some ARP WUs made it through, and 1 or 2 MCMs, but still not enough to have all cores busy.
