I've been crunching around 250 OPNG tasks on my only running GPU cruncher, since GPU Work resumed yesterday.

I think we have some really tough WU's now, in the 0087XXX batch, that's now is rolling in here. They seems to take a lot longer to crunch, and possibly extremely long time on iGPU's.. I may have to deselect my iGPU, and only run them on my NVIDIA GTX980 Strix.

Edit2: Oh gosh, the first of the 0087XXX batch, took 23 minutes 19 seconds on my GTX980 (earlier batches max 5 minutes, mostly 3-4) Upload files extremely large. The larger of the 2 was almost 8 MB, the smaller 1.5 MB. The WU had 239 "jobs". Wow..... I am glad they have beefed up the work units. The earlier ones were too short, and I can get them now.
The first one ran for 27 minutes on a GTX 1060 under Ubuntu 20.04.3. The temp was only 62 C. I think I can usefully run two at a time by devoting an additional core of my Ryzen 3700X to it, if they last that long. |
