Re: OpenPandemics - GPU Stress Test

Can anyone recommend a tool which shows the correct write rates of any application?

I use SssReady on Windows for total write rates.

Thanks, Jim - looks interesting. So I guess I might buy the full version for seeing all the details I am interested in. The price is not that high, anyway.
Are you using the full version?

Re: OpenPandemics - GPU Stress Test

Well, the kitties are happy campers this morning. No server glitches that I am aware of, and they happily munched their kibbles all night long. Their totals and average are responding nicely to the steady flow of high protein kibbles. They say nom nom nom!
They send meows of thanks to uplinger for all of his efforts yesterday.

Meow!

Processor 90°C ---

90° C on a permanent basis, this will probably shorten the lifetime of the CPU.
Which cooler do you use? The stock cooler which came with the processor, or an extra (better) one ?

Re: OpenPandemics - GPU Stress Test

since we're only in the early 20,000's batch yet, and needing to go up to 41,000, and with the tasks running much slower than usual, Seems like this is going to take much longer than 3 days.

Re: OpenPandemics - GPU Stress Test

Looking at my power consumption graph, when the switchover to big units came, the graph became a lot hillier. I'm also noticing this morning, that if this pace continues, I'll get maybe 140,000 BOINC credits today versus over 250,000 yesterday (UTC days).

I'm thinking of stealing another CPU task and running a second GPU task instead. I have 4 GB in my GTX 960, for what it's worth.

-checks display-

Eep. Never mind, there are two ARP tasks that are well past their final checkpoint and a third on-deck to start. Guess I'll have to try it later.

Re: OpenPandemics - GPU Stress Test

Uplinger, I've been reporting periodically getting "Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server" since the GPU project entered Beta.

@Dayle Can I suggest 2 options here:

1. Open a new forum thread and post your event log from your client there. This is probably the fastest way for me to respond directly, or have others in the forums help as well.

2. Email support@worldcommunitygrid.org with ATTN: Uplinger in the subject. This is going to be slower unfortunately.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: OpenPandemics - GPU Stress Test

Uplinger : so how much stuff we finished in almost 1 day of crunching ? :)

Sorry if I missed this earlier. We crunched through about 7.5k batches in the first 36 hours. We will continue with this pace until the full 30k batches have been completed.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Actually, the free version works fine for me. It could be worth the full version, but I have not felt the need for it yet.
