I only have weedy old Intel GPUs, 1 on a 4 thread J2900.
----------------------------------------Others are Intel GPUs on oldish systems. Named Lenovo2, SDD1 and 8NUC. Paul.

@Uplinger: How does it look so far? Any major problems that you've seen?
----------------------------------------Do you plan to release more batches Today/Evening Night (depending on TZ)? It seems to be pretty dry in the well now. Edit: Oh, I tried to buy a new computer with BOINC points, but they laughed me out of the store So, the points issue can for all I care wait until the cows comes home. Hi Keith,
----------------------------------------I have a machine with a 4c/4t intel i5 that somehow managed to download 18 units. So, I have 1 crunching and 17 queued. I'm going to let them all run to completion (these seem to be working ok, so I'm hoping to be able to confirm that whatever code issue there might have been previously causing errors isn't causing errors on my system anymore), but thought I'd let you know since it runs counter to your hypothesis about # of workunits per thread. Oh, and I don't have multiples running on the Intel integrated GPU, just one at a time. But all in all, it looks like great progress has been made. Looking forward to the next betas and eventually the final release! |

Are there limits on workunits per PC? I have 50 on 1 PC. Paul. The beta mechanism should limit it to 1 per core of the machine for CPU. I have not confirmed this, but it may be sending you 1 per thread of CPU for GPU. If you have 2 GPU's, say an intel and nvidia, then it is probably sending you up to 1 per thread per gpu, so twice as much as normal BETA but not taking into account the GPU either. I know kind of confusing, but I did not see this as a bad thing for this beta for a host to get more than 1 per GPU, as it has given those a chance to over schedule their own GPU for this application to see what it would do. Thanks, -Uplinger All my GPU rigs are getting a max of four [4] betas at one time regardless of the number of threads per CPU. |

All my GPU rigs are getting a max of four [4] betas at one time regardless of the number of threads per CPU. I'm getting no more than the GPU is set to run concurrently.

I'm getting no more than the GPU is set to run concurrently. Hmm... I'm always getting four (number of CPU cores) regardless of how many i set to run concurrently. |

I only loaded in about 27 batches so far today. I need to build more batches before loading them (they are queued in the system right now). I have sent back some of the results to the researchers from the early results for them to start reviewing. I don't think I will hear a thumbs up or down until next week. As for more batches. There should be more loaded today and then more tomorrow. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Max 4 per GPU here. (4 for the GTX980 and 4 for the iGPU) CPU=4c/8t
But now there's nothing to be had.... |

As some have noticed, my theory on why some are getting more than others is incorrect. I'm not worried about some getting more than their threads at the moment, but it does introduce something I should look into for the mechanism which schedules beta work units.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

@Uplinger, I'm seeing the same issue I saw on the previous beta tests for OpenPandemics. The work unit completes 100% but continues to "run" for hours. I have work unit BETA_OPNG_0000075_00245_0 and it has been running for 3+ hours. I have AMD Radeon HD 6530D.
Thank you |
