10 batches loaded, batches 500-509. There are about 5000 work units in total for this short beta. Again, the deadlines are set to 36 hours so it'll push your machine to have them towards the top of the queue.
@nanoprobe, thanks for letting @Grumpy Swede know the change. I have posted lots of details in the past few weeks. Yes, the dlg file was something I was hopeful we would be able to get away from using for validation. However it is still needed and so the removal of that would not be wise. Everything would be invalid :P Again, thanks to everyone for their help with the beta tests! I'm probably going to jinx myself again, but I am hopeful these 10 batches should be the last beta. Thanks, -Uplinger |

And there I believe this batch is finished.
----------------------------------------5000 WU's are nothing when it comes to GPU crunching. Looking forward to full production. Edit: Added. I got 14 tasks this time. All crunched just fine on my GTX980. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Apr 2, 2021 2:08:38 PM] |

Bah! Shouldn't have gone out to fetch the newspaper - I think they're all gone now. ;-)

I guess so... My GPU just finished some other tasks, and now crunches the few it received from batch 507. Looking forward to production.
----------------------------------------Since the latest driver update on the cards, everthing went smoothly. No hiccups as in stuck WUs, no runtime exceeded errors, all validated and with a corresponding app_config file, a sustained load of nearly 100% across both of my GPUs. Looking great at least on my side. Kudos again for all the hard work and on pushing the timeline :) AMD Ryzen 3700X @ 4.0 GHz / GTX1660S Intel i5-4278U CPU @ 2.60GHz |

... No hiccups as in stuck WUs, no runtime exceeded errors, ... May I ask exactly what GPU you have - intel_gpu, that is: the NVidia cards are all working fine here. This machine has an i5-4690 CPU with HD 4600, reporting 1298MB available, and it fails all the tasks. The Grumpy Swede has a i7-4790K CPU with HD 4600, reporting 1400MB available, and his works with the same driver. I'm trying to work out where the difference lies. |

My old computer has a GTX780, driver 335.23, showing OpenCL 1.1 in the Boinc logs.
----------------------------------------Is this going to be able to do OpenPandemics GPU tasks here? Or not enough beef for the job? Thanks. |

Minimum OpenCL requirement is OpenCL 1.2, so with that old driver at least, your GTX780 will not work. Check if the GPU perhaps is OpenCL capable with a newer driver. Edit: On this page at least, it looks like it should be OpenCL 1.2 capable, but then so is the GTX660M, but it fails utterly here. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-780.c1701 Edit2: I hope the GTX780 is not in an old XP machine, because the app will probably not run on that, even if the GPU is OpenCL 1.2 [Edit 4 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Apr 2, 2021 3:28:10 PM] |
