Re: OpenPandemics GPU Beta Test - March 12 2021 [ Issues Thread ]

All of my WUs from 3-12 are still waiting for verification. Is everyone still waiting?

Two errors, both 'exceeded elapsed time limit'. HD 4600 and HD 2500, both under Windows. The latter is a very old chip, running under a very old version of BOINC. We can't see any details of the driver.

I still think this version of the app needs more examination, and detailed assessment of how good and bad drivers can be distinguished - but that shouldn't delay the deployment of the AMD and NVidia apps, if they pass their own assessments.

Good morning everyone,

Sorry for no update yesterday, but I am in the deep end of looking at the points and will be in that area of the scheduler code today as well.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Thanks Uplinger!

As long as you don't look too deep, and don't bother with "CreditNew", from David Anderson, I'm sure everything will be fine in the end. CreditNew, has been a cause for much debate and grief on SETI@home.

I wouldn't spend much time on credits either. Turning on CreditNew is the easiest way to do that. It will destroy the usefulness of points and everyone can forget about them.

Yeah, that's one way to look at the whole credit thing laughing
