Well, after a short ray of hope the other day, the number of inmates in the PV jail is again increasing again, from 500 last night, to 763 this morning...

Just IDEA, it would be fine to split current PenVal status to 2 new statuses: Sorry, but that just doesn't make any sense and would be rather a waste of any resources.* new Pending Validation, where WU is in queue for real validation (all results uploaded to WCG) * and new status like "Waiting for Uploads" (still waiting for Wingman's uploads) With this new setup it will be simple visible where is problem. We know that there is a problem, this is obvious even without any new status, and any available resource at WCG/Krembil's side should be used to fix this underlying problem not by patching up another crutch.... Ralf PS: The vast majority of PV entries right now are those that have both (or more) results already returned and only a small(er) number of WUs are waiting for a wing man. YMMV |

Within the last hour I have had 9 results validated I was sitting at 141 I am now at 132

I know the team is working on the issue. I noticed this task https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/261896661 difference would that is is that it is the 3rd copy and the other 2 copies have been returned, 3rd copy (mine) was returned at roughly 1906 on the 14th and the 2nd copy was returned on the 8th at around 2313. Was there a need for my copy to be sent out at all? I am thinking there wasn't.

Still, when the deadline arrived for task _0, it was not returned. So the BOINC server had to issue task _2 and you were the lucky one, apparently, to receive task _2. Adri thanks for your explanation, did you note _0 _1 have both been returned and validated?
----------------------------------------In regards to the Cyclone Gabriel I am doing fine, where I am in the South Island we had strong winds and heavy rain but did not cause any damage. In the North Island where it struck 1st there is a lot of cleanup happening. People are without power and road access in some areas, there has also been loss of life. As far as I am aware nobody I know has been affected by these weather events. Thanks for asking. |
