Re: Is anybody still getting work?

The research overview says we are now at 99% and finishing this month, but the last post by caitilarkin in Viktors corner said nothing about it ending soon. Is this just the end of the current batches, or is it really the end of the road for crunching this project? I still need to download for another 3 weeks for my diamond!

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Someone just got a large T325 since my wing member failed to meet due time. I never had call to see such a thing. Just as well I overshot by 1.5 days in getting my Emerald. I did not know that retasking due time is 3.5 days vs 10 days.

That was not the one associated with my wing person. It was retasked this afternoon. I crunched it for 18.5 hrs on a HP Elitebook with an I7. I love these large WU. Last week I had my slowest processor full of 8WU crunching on each one for 1.5 days!!! Helpful when you are working hard to a distant badge on a project running on fumes.

Whoever got the retasking pounced on it and completed exectution of it in 8.85 hrs... 10 less than what my i7 laptop took. Some serious computing power!!! Thanks.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

I've gotten 6 in about a week,
I got fed up of trying the 3 min and 33 min nonsense,
so just let it go.
Now I have a cue set up and I get one once a day lol,
I'll take what I can get I guess trying for the 2 year badge.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Check the times of the units you get.
I stopped some time ago but times had changed to 16/46 by then.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

I'm not sure the 3/33 applies anymore, from looking at the deadlines on some of my units that are queued up I'm seeing a larger percentage at 18/48. Perhaps there' some minor drift in the timings and it is slowly creeping forward at the moment? Or perhaps it's due to it taking a minute or so to call the server and download a unit? Who knows, but not 3/33.

On a side note, I recon I'm about 4-5 days from starting to blend out TB units and run down my buffers. I'll be well over 19 years by then with about 160(ish) days buffered and 30 days in PV. I'll start to roll crunchers over to zika leaving just one to carry me over the 20 year mark on HSTB.
