Paul, the curious thing is that in those settings you cited, I don't have one that asks about using the CPU. My dialog box asks if I want to run it on my GPU, not my CPU like your program does. This is a new PC and this is a new download from maybe 3 weeks ago, so it's up-to-date I suspect on the software. Why am I missing the CPU option? My options have the battery one, the GPU one, computer idle, all the others you mention, but nothing for the CPU except for setting how much of it one wants to use and when. But there is no option where it asks to use the CPU. How can this be the case?

Location is something used by the web sites; you can have up to four. If you're using local settings, then these will all be ignored except for choice of (sub-)projects.
I would suggest that you set everything to allow WUs to run ALL the time on ALL the CPUs, and only start to turn things down if you find they are stopping you doing what you want to do (like playing games or watching a movie). I've never had to turn things down at all with CPU-only work -- everything is very well behaved. You also might want to check that the "Daily Schedules" tab isn't set to override things on a timed basis. |

Well, I manged to get everything to work. I simply hit the 'clear' tab on the upper right of the dialog box which asks for various computer preferences on running the program (i.e., the window pop-up, which has CPU time, running on batteries, use the GPU, etc.). That somehow allowed new work modules to appear in my queue. I honestly don't know why this worked, but I'll take it Thanks to everyone who reached out to help me!! At least I'm up and running again.
