Trying to install on Linux...

im installed boinc......
how can i add to WCG?
im used this in linux

sudo -u boinc boinccmd --project_attach http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org ae1dd0e5c7eb0c40a2bae825342f5486




root@vps475617:~# sudo -u boinc boinccmd --project_attach http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org ae1dd0e5c7eb0c40a2bae825342f5486
can't connect to local host


and no worked

Anybody? Some help please...we are talking about more than one PC.

we can use 15 000 machines for WCG, but we need system rac like is on rosetta, because of credit systems ... recent average system

Do other BOINC commands work ?
What Linux distribution and level ?

I had fail trying to get BOINC working on a small Linux distro, possibly Puppy Linux, as some security setup was required.

On Fedora linux, when initially setting up boinc, I needed to:

# systemctl enable boinc-client.service
# systemctl start boinc-client.service
# gpasswd -a MY-USER-ID boinc
~ ln -s /var/lib/boinc/gui_rpc_auth.cfg gui_rpc_auth.cfg
~ sudo chmod 640 gui_rpc_auth.cfg
