BlueKnight --
The points you see on the MyOnlineTeam web page only include those points you have received since joining the team. It is the same figure you will see if you go to the Team Detail from the World Community Grid pages. A good number of us on the team have a few thousand points that we earned before joining up that aren't reported in the team statistics. It's a bit frustrating at times, but that's the way it works. Glad to see you posting in the team thread. Have you checked out Graham's instructions on how to use the team banners in your forum signature lines? You can see them here. |

I checked the AMD stats and they get to keep the 20,000 or so points that you earned while a member of their team. Well, regardless of what team gets the points, the main thing is that the results all go to the scientists at the Institute For Systems Biology

Hello All
----------------------------------------..Err what is 'malware'? (I know a bit of French, mal=bad?). One of the machines in question was my super-dooper/protectedfromeverything/work/pewter so teeny bit worried about anything dodgy! Thanks, Johnny |

Hi Johnny
----------------------------------------Spyware or Virus I'm the same sat behind hardware firewall, spyware catchers and antivirus all up to date and running. Still given the state of the world nothing is impossible when connected full time to the net. It still might be just a bug in the agent code but I haven't experienced it on any of the other machines crunching at Autumns Towers. Still worrying though I must make it clear that the aforementioned Malware is nothing to do with the WCG application in any way shape or form - before I get misquoted or worry the WCG Community ![]() ![]() |

A follow on from the logged out agent problem
----------------------------------------I've just given all my crunchers and the kids (crunchers) a spring clean and Jess's (the one with the problem) was the only one with a browser hijack. I recommend downloading all of MS's latest security patches - mine are all on automatic but it's best not to wait until MS get around to your PC. I would also recommend Microsoft Antispyware (Oh the irony) a dose of Spybot Search and Destroy and Lavasofts Adaware. That should bring back some reliable crunching Dave ![]() |
