Thanks for the congrats and encouragement all (and for the graphics Dave/Graham), I will keep on plugging away! Going to be a slight dip in my productivity from next month though; where I work there is a new 'environmental' policy on saving energy etc so my operating hours will take a tumble. My pleas about saving the world fell on deaf ears. I said 'Don't come running to me if you all get bird flu' - which was a mild exageration of our achievemnts so far but you know what I mean. (I did mean what I said though - please don't come running to me if you get bird flu
). I'll keep on chugging along and do my bit. As our leader Dave (and a certain chain store) says, every little helps. A big warm welcome to Ashmet. Great to have you here ![]() |

Morning Jonathon
----------------------------------------Great defensive move I was sure I'd take that place from you today Where did that clutch of points come from ? Vialls no worries we'll show them, we'll have a breakthrough soon. The environmentalists would have us all shut down. Just wait until we start doing climate modeling As for me, I think that cave dwelling is grossly overrated One of my Mum's favourite lines "Don't come running to me if you break a leg" That tally of devices just keeps on growing (mostly fictitious but fun anyway) 1771 today. Anyone else wish to add their PC to this ever growing pile of number crunching power? You won't regret it Dave ![]() ![]() |

David Autumns came out of the blocks, very, very, early yesterday morning, just raring, to go head to head with Jonathon Wright By the 6:00am update he moved it up a gear, with some very decent returns to the IBM Server, as he was just getting into his stride At 12:00am he was half way round the course and that 24th place was looking very promising indeed Just smoking along towards the 6:00pm update he was pulling out all the stops and getting his second wind, by returning just a mountain of WU's to the IBM Server As he went into the winning stretch, he was convinced that Jonathon Wright was going to be regelated to that 25th positionIt became neck and neck all the way to the winning line with David Autumns returning a personal best points score of 3757 for a 24 hour period However, Jonathon Wright still had a few tricks up his sleeve, as he had also returned 3002 points for the 24 hour period Jonathon pulled out his "get out of jail free" card and played it at the crucial moment and screamed across the winning line, to cement his position of 24th place for yet another day, in the rankings on MyOnlineTeam David Autumns was very gracious in defeat, although he did get a tad emotional ![]() When asked for his remarks, this is what he had to say ![]() Today is a brand new day, as this epic event continues, in the battle of the Captain versus the Member Who will be in the coverted 24th place as of tonight's 12:00pm update Will David Autumns claim it, or does Jonathon Wright have enough horse power to show him his once again Stay tuned , as this epic saga unfolds! |

My final day of glory! ****evil laugh **** Nearly a year (minus 4 weeks) holding of the davster with only a few 64-bit power horses Dave maybe the picture of dedication and commitment to the task at hand! but........ The only real question on everyones mind is "daves equipment up to the job after all?" Jonathon speed dials Daves lovely wifes number to check Phone Rings and Picks up ****all I could hear was the faint sound of dave in the basement shouting "I just cannot do it jim! we need more cpu power!"**** then the phone goes dead. unfortunalty I have to announce however that today will be the last day I can wake up and be on top of the world/mot captain! but i have enjoyed the 48 weeks of bliss waving at dave down below! however "I'll be back" as soon as my new system has a power supply and case! remember everyone not to tell dave Dave my take my spot but he'll never take my machines alive! Keep up the crunching guys! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by Jonathon Wright at Oct 18, 2005 1:53:01 PM] |
