Re: Busy Busy Busy over at MOT HQ (The Autumns Household) (from the MOT Website Frontpage)

btw has anyone heard from Frans and Hairy4paws. Their contribution to the team thread and their sense of humour are really missed. The friends we've made through this crunching malarkey are too precious to just let go.

Don't go switching off

Dave

Well, if they don't start posting soon I will. And you know what happens then whistling

You have been warned wink

How are you doing Réjean? That points score per day of yours keeps on increasing. How many boxes have you managed to have the agent fitted on now?

Hi Steve our friend JWLAustinTX arrived one day and left the next. Just for a moment I thought we might leapfrog a couple of IBM's and claim the 20th for number of team mates. It wasn't to be though we've occupied that 23rd Spot for a good while now. How's your little one doing?

Any volunteers out there willing to add an extra PC or 2? We could do with a few more days of run time to bring MOT back over the year/day.

Joost how are you getting on with that unlucky DNS server? We are in need of your extra oomph.

Graham you must be one of the "biggest fans" of the World Community Grid. (It's the way I tell 'em)

That one on the side of that cruncher reminds me of the good old days and the Hotpoint Twin Tub. I was recounting the history of the washing machine to my Eldest Em's for some school project - she has only ever known the Automatic.
One of our washing machines even had a mangle. Ems didn't believe me we used to crush our clothes to get the water out of them!!!
Kids of today eh. Boy am I getting old

Have a great Wednesday wherever you may be
Dave

Re: Where has everyone gone

Hello All

Quick question - (It may have been covered before so apologies if it has..) Some of my machines have involuntarity decided to ask me to re-login - when I do it resets the counter and adds a machine to my total number of devices? any reason for this?

Thanks,

Johnny,

(not a natural posting type so sorry if I am a stranger to you.. smile )

Re: Where has everyone gone

Hi bl1nxz

I thought I was the only one.

My daughters PC is exhibiting the same symptoms. Sometimes it runs through a number of Work Units and then one day you will see the log in screen again and like you say you have to register as another machine. The password seems to be OK. I suspected some kind of malware was kicking it out.

The PC in question is a nf2 based shuttle system running XP Pro. One for Alther or Knreed me thinks.

Sorry it's not the answer to your problems but as they say a problem shared is a problem halved.

Any ideas team?

Dave

Re: Where has everyone gone

I haven't seen that (yet). I suspect you are right about some kind of malware, Dave.
