To give you an idea of the flood. If you take the first picture of Vabres that I showed, and you look at what level is the street compared to the 1st floor of the old mill. The water rose to more than 1m20 .... That's almost not to believe I wish for you it will never happen again Pour te donner une idée de la crue.

---------- So much the better if the visits pleased you, that this is the purpose of the trek. And the number of machines you have is impressive! --------- For having been to Saint Affrique and Vabres the day of this flood, I found that it was even more impressive in Vabres. Nobody had ever seen that, but it had already happened about a century ago. It is therefore fortunately exceptional, but the floods are very frequent, because of the typography of the region. All rivers have many tributaries, and as the soils are for many clay-limestone, as soon as there is heavy rain, there are floods. Everything is planned, warning system, closing some parking, most of the time, it is hardly if we pay attention. There, it was really a record. |

I'm not from Aveyron, but I marvel every day. And besides, there are very good products to eat (you always enjoy yourself with your Papillon?). ![]() |

I'm glad you are interested enough to keep discovering things in your 'new' environment. Often just laying your head back and look above the ground level gives an entire new picture.
As to my Papillon Roquefort, I have two left. One disappered between Upstairs Yvonne and me as the morning dew when the sun gets to work, the other one went to my French professor, who tasted it at once and said mmm .... mmmmmmmmm .... I'll save the others and eat them slowly .... also because I'm not a Twiggy like you .... |
