IMO, the most interesting piece of info to come out from the lifting of the TR2 unboxing embargo is that there are 12 and 24 core TRs, in addition to the 16 and 32 core SKUs we knew were coming.
----------------------------------------Edit: Apparently only the 24 and 32 core variants have 4 Zeppelin cores, while the 12 and 16 core SKUs are 2 live and 2 dummies. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by mdxi at Aug 7, 2018 2:48:46 AM] |

Manually dial in the speed you want in the Bios. Most MB will have Multiply setting, so you put 33 for 3.3ghz, 34 for 3.4ghz ... etc. Some MB will have CPU speed setting IIRC, where you have to put in the speed you want instead of the multiply.
----------------------------------------For ex: For my MSI Tomahawk I have to put in 3625 for 3.6ghz. |

Definitely overkill for a dedicated cruncher, but if one would be using it for gaming that 1080Ti would come in handy. |
