Hello experts,
----------------------------------------I am interested in running android on the three pi's that I own. They are version 3 so the output should be pretty good. The question that I have is that I can find guides about using remote desktop (I have a windows laptop) to connect to a pi running NOOBS OS, but when I try to find the same for how to do that on PIs that are running Android I seem to be hitting a wall. Currently I am using ssh command, but I would rather actually see the PI desktop. For those cruncher's that successfully are using PIs to run android workunits can you let me know if you are using ssh or some kind of remote desktop application? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you ![]() |

Just a side note on the Android client by Berkeley of June 12 (Android testing mailing list)
----------------------------------------"BOINC for Android does GUI RPCs on (local) pipes, not sockets, so it can't be controlled remotely. This was done to provide the impression of greater security. A future Android version will allow for remote control. -- David " Not going to offer interpretations! Hi SekeRob,
----------------------------------------Thanks for the reply. So from my limited understanding you would not be able to connect to a PI running android through ssh, but would have to use a monitor and keyboard? That is a bummer. ![]() |
