SRA = Self-Referencing Acronym That would be a real curve ball. Speculating on a Reasonable Acronym The only serious guess I can come up with is Stop Rheumatoid Arthritis. |

Got 15 over 2 Mint and one Win7 box. No problems so far.
See the Bct-A (Bacteria-A?) in the WU name? I would guess SRA = Support Research on Antibiotics Yes, it is a long shot. |

As well as the short ones, tt seems a few "wide loads" are out there now also. I've got one that is 22hrs in at 11%. I doubt it will finish by it's deadline on Wednesday!
Still, it's good to see some betas for a new project, whatever it is. It'd also be nice to see some betas for CEP2 to get it restarted. |

I can't help speculating too, and I reckon roundup is in the right ball-park.
I spotted the Bct-A as well and soon found an article entitled "bctA: a novel pBF4 gene necessary for conjugal transfer in Bacteroides spp." whose summary starts "pBF4 is a 41 kb conjugative R-plasmid that confers MLS (macrolide-lincosamide-streptogramin B) resistance in Bacteroides spp." Looking up Bacteroides I found: "In general, Bacteroides are resistant to a wide variety of antibiotics—β-lactams, aminoglycosides, and recently many species have acquired resistance to erythromycin and tetracycline. This high level of antibiotic resistance has prompted concerns that Bacteroides species may become a reservoir for resistance in other, more highly pathogenic bacterial strains." So I reckon it's Stop Resistance to Antibiotics, or similar. |
