State of Emergency declared in US for Puerto Rico https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/aug/12...ate-of-emergency-mosquito where there already was a travel advisory, NOT to go to Florida. That could be costing more than the funding that POTUS asked for to fast-forward the fight against the disease, but was blocked.

New article about Zika in the adult brain from Rockefeller University, Joseph Gleeson, adjunct professor at Rockefeller. https://sciencesprings.wordpress.com/2016/08/...imited-to-pregnant-women/ That the virus may cause permanent damage to the adult brain makes this particularly worrisome; a real life "zombie virus". I live in south Florida, so I'm in the impact zone. “Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. I live in Croatia, which witched from moderate to sub-tropical climate lately (in my lifetime)...& here on 45° llatitude, we have Tiger mosquito - which carries Zika virus...so far, no virus in Croatia...but Africa version in near & can spread easily! So, we have to crunch on! |
