Greetings,
The Clean Energy Project is temporarily paused. We have been encountering high error rates and are working with the researchers to figure out the issues related with it. We will also be adding additional monitoring for applications on the backend to help identify issues like this in the future. Thanks for you patience, -Uplinger |

Thanks Keith for giving us the official word. Hopefully these issues will be resolved sooner than later and we can see a recommencement of this very worthy project.

Thanks for this info! Please, keep us updated, I sense that I'm not the only one missing this project.

Thanks for the update, Keith. When the problem is fixed, I hope you will also tell us what caused the problem and what you (or the researchers) did to fix it.

Thanks for the update, Keith. When the problem is fixed, I hope you will also tell us what caused the problem and what you (or the researchers) did to fix it. So, the problem is in the type A work units. Currently we were trying to migrate to the type B work units. There was a configuration issue with the script used in type A work units. The researchers have that with our findings from our side. I am not an expert in Charm (the science application) so I have very little details I can provide on it. Since we got 2 batches in a row with 100% error rate, we decided to stop the project until it was resolved. The beta test is to continue towards the type B work units. These are work units which we should have a large back log from the researchers on. If we can get these past testing phase we may start them back up before type A work unit issue is resolved. Thanks, -Uplinger |
