Hello, I was repeatedly asked to liberate some disk space for this project. A few months ago, a brand new RAM disk was put in both my PCs. So, the disk space was multiplied 100 times the former space. Nevertheless I never received any WU for this project again.

I am hopeful someone communicates about the problems this project is having. When online, it was my number one priority of all BOINC projects. Ten months is a long time.

I have invested almost 20 years of CPU time in this project because I believe that the sooner mankind gets off fossil fuels, the better. This morning, I read on CNN about how locals are using solar panels to electrify Africa. The Clean Energy project is a great project but to go a year without any workunits sinks. In addition the lack of communication by the Harvard Team shows no class. At the rapid pace of green energy technology, are the results generated in this project going to be relevant?

Not all research is successful. They may have found out that the potential for organic solar cells is limited. They now have to compete with pervoskites at the low-cost end of the spectrum, silicon in the middle, and III-V materials at the upper end.

They probably rely in part on federal funds, and there is no guarantee that the money will be renewed if other approaches are more attractive. There are other possibilities of what is happening, for example better analytical techniques that require new software to be developed, and they may not need BOINC at all.

I would like an update too, they should have done that already, but I am not expecting miracles on what they can achieve. It is all research.
