I got half a dozen, on my Windows 7 machines. All went smoothly, albeit with very diferent lenghts of time. Not one full day altogether.

Three WUs running on my lowerclocked HE cruncher have "No reply" status.

Three WUs running on my lowerclocked HE cruncher have "No reply" status. Even though they are most definetly running. Should i keep them running? Keep them running! Even when a resend is out to a new cruncher, you will finish earlier. When that other cruncher did not start that new task and has contact to the server, his task will be aborted, when yours is reported. Yes, the techs need -all- the possible ways to success and failure and test the part-way calculations too... see if the mechanics work for the generation of the concatenating WU that will continue where a non-timely completed result left off [from it's last trickle].

Any word on when all these pv work units will verified? I have 3 on 2 machines for a total of over 3 days !!!

Last Thursday, Keith said "Validation of the results may not happen until either tomorrow or next week. We are making sure it works as expected on development before we deploy it to beta test".
So even the validator code is having to be tested. I've not seen any more recent comment. BTW, I'm now running an _3 Beta unit after it suffered 2 No Replies. |
