I am now getting feeder not running message on several of my machines. I have never received this message before today. Started about 1524 UTC Yep, I just saw this message on both my machines and found this thread when looking to see if someone had reported it already. Pretty much the same time, too. Let's hope the techs have been notified. |

I woke up this morning to find my machines only an hour away from going idle. It suddenly struck me that it might be a network issue, so I tried re-booting my router. Everything sprang into life! My machines are now full again.
Hope it works for you, too. |

I've just checked my computers again and the one which had the problem on Friday started getting this message again yesterday - 24th Jan.
24/01/2015 18:41:03 | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 24/01/2015 18:41:03 | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU 24/01/2015 18:41:05 | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 24/01/2015 18:41:05 | World Community Grid | Server error: feeder not running So even more wasted crunching time for this computer. Apis, do you have a static IP address or do you get a new one every time your router connects to your internet provider? Mine is static and no number of restarts helps. |

I didn't check whether it changed or not on this occasion. I must admit that I thought it might be more to do with DNS routing to a different server thread, but now I'm not so sure. |

Mine started working about 2 hours after my original post yesterday. Had to do a Global Update to get all the machines to clear the backlog. So far, everything is still working this morning...

I'm still stuck with the "Server error: feeder not running" message - so thats almost the entire weekend of lost crunching thanks to this problem.
----------------------------------------Would be nice to get a definitive fix for this as the current fixes only seem to last for a little while before it all falls apart again and the connection is routed to a server with no feeder running. Edit: some very poor English fixed [Edit 1 times, last edit by Steve W at Jan 26, 2015 11:22:40 AM] |

I am looking into a possible permanent solution. I have kicked the one server that is getting a lot of the scheduler requests to push those back to the primary.
Thanks, -Uplinger |
