Hi to all.
----------------------------------------Last year, in March, I had a crash on my PC. After that, in the "Device Statistics History" section I found 3 devices instead 2. Under the actual list: Device Name Last Results Returned (UTC) Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) Points Generated Results Returned 2837599 01/18/2015 12:01:25 0:080:04:57:20 179,482 264 android 01/18/2015 07:06:42 0:026:14:34:42 14,184 89 1109021 02/23/2014 13:16:39 0:249:15:54:44 445,197 798 The device 1109021 and the 2837599 are the same PC (the only one I have...) There is no device merge function at WCG, not anytime soon planned either, if at all. It's on the wish list.
Notably, the conditions of device merge are that the hardware and OS must be exactly the same, the device signature so to speak. Had this fail several times because OS upgrading then installing the client again. Account merging does not exist either, not anywhere possible in BOINC world. |

Thanks for making me sad SekeRob :( I was happy all day long but you made me sad with your post, I have the same android device like 3-4 times in my device installations and my PC about 6-7 times just because I reinstall my pc quite often..

I have 56 "device installations" but currently only 2 machines running! I just forget about it, don't care.
